A few notes to keep everybody informed: 1) Hotels: Please contact Doug Barnes or one of his colleagues at Salt Lake Travel to make reservations at the Emperador or El Coloso hotels. These are reasonably priced, centrally located and make it easy to see everyone else. 2) Most everyone is interested in taking one or both of the planned tours. However, it is a holiday weekend and hard to get drivers, so please get your reservations in to Salt Lake Travel Service now. I don't want anyone left out, so we have to know right away. 3) I have heard that there are no more tickets for the 10:30 AM session on Sunday March 21. Fortunately, most of you already have tickets for that session. I will see what options are open for those who do not have tickets. Please remember that each person should bring a white handkerchief to the dedication session. 4) President Barnes has agreed with the current President of the Madrid Mission to join forces for the Saturday night reunion. This event should include all former mission presidents, missionaries and any Spanish members that would like to attend. 5) Cost: It looks like we will need to charge $45 per person to cover the costs of the reunion, the dinner, the reception, tips to the tour personnel etc. I will have a final figure in a couple of days. I would appreciate your being prepared to send a check right away. 6) The dinner on Friday night and the reception on Saturday night will be held at the church facility located at Calle Pablo Iglesias 22. Note: this is NOT the local you remember. On Friday, we will start gathering at 6 PM, have a buffet dinner at 7 PM, and finish at around 9. I am trying to include some "tipico" entertainment. On Saturday the schedule will be about the same. We will start at 6 PM with light refreshments. At about 7 there will be a short program including introductions of the former mission presidents. Afterward you can mix and talk as long as you wish. I am getting a lot of excited emails from our group. This will be a trip to remember! Saludos, John Muir
